When Tiger Woods announced plans to play golf in all the Majors tournaments of 2010, oddsmakers offered the prop bet on how many Majors Woods would win. Little did we know that Woods promiscuous sex antics were to eventually result in zero Majors wins. Not only that, he played like an amateur.

“We went for a smoke in the toilets with Wayne and his brother and exchanged phone numbers. At that point Wayne didn’t know what sort of work I did.”

After that chance meeting, Jenny claims that Rooney began texting her asking if she would like to meet up.

The Manchester United star would later meet up with Jenny and her vice girl friend at the Lowry Hotel.

ECU has a new head coach, and are breaking in 15 new starters from a team that has won the Conference USA the past 2 seasons. Coach McNeill is putting his stamp on the program, as the Pirates are changing to a spread offense and a 4-3 defense. Flat out, it’s going to take some time for his program to get accustomed to these drastic changes. Offensively, the Pirates will look to their passing game and WR Dwayne Harris in particular. Harris had 83 REC for 873 YDS last year, earning C-USA Special Teams Player of the Year. East Carolina has alot of work to do if they are going to make their 5th consecutive bowl game. Non conference road games at Virginia Tech and North Carolina figure to toughen this team up for the coming league schedule.

The Pirates are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games in September. The Over is 5-1 in the Pirates last 6 conference games.

This season is about redemption for Tulsa, and no better game illustrates this point than their season opener today. The Golden Hurricane are looking to get revenge against ECU, after the horrible 17-44 defeat last year. That humiliating loss was their worst defeat last year. Tulsa finished last season 5-7, the first time they didn’t play in the postseason since 2004. The biggest problem for this team last year appears to be a strength this year. The offensive line is completely in place, as opposed to last year when they had 8 different lineup variations. This line will be looking to protect quarterback G.J. Kinne. Kinne is a very talented QB, and he’s looking to lead this offense back to the days of 2007 and 2008 when Tulsa led the nation in total offense. Safety DeAundre Brown will lead this relatively underrated defense this year. Brown had 102 tackles last year, and he looks to lead a defense that welcomes back 2 other key tacklers. Tulsa has played to the under in 10 of their 12 games played on grass.

Tulsa is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in September. The Under is 10-2 in the Golden Hurricane’s last 12 games on grass.

Pregame.com projects the final score to be 31-21 in favor of Tulsa. The Under 59 points is the Total of the Day!

The Texas Tech Red Raiders host the SMU Mustangs in Sunday evening College Football action, a battle of two Midwest teams that played in bowl games last season. Both teams are expected to contend in their respective conferences once again this year. Texas Tech has a new coach, so the regime is a bit different when compared to the stability of SMU and June Jones. The Red Raiders are -13.5 favorites tonight, with a total of 60.5 points expected. This game will be broadcast by ESPN at 3:30 EDT.

For a team with remarkable consistency, it’s amazing to have so much turmoil on the sidelines. Texas Tech remains the only Big 12 program to finish at least .500 in each of the conference’s 14 years. The Red Raiders will take the field without the services of former coach Mike Leach, as he was fired after 10 colorful seasons. In his place is former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville. Tuberville has made waves in Lubbock, as he has stated publicly that the Red Raiders will win multiple championships under his watch. Texas Tech will continue to be an offensive force, as they have an elite level passing offense. However, Tuberville has stated he wants to run the ball more frequently this year with Baron Batch. Batch rushed for nearly 900 YDS last year, including 14 TD’s. Texas Tech has changed their defensive identity, switching to a 3-4 defense. The Red Raiders are also expected to play more players on the defensive side of the ball, as they look to shore up their 4th Quarter woes.

The Red Raiders are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September. The Over is 4-1 in the Red Raiders last 5 non-conference games.

Southern Methodist is trying to prove that they are a team on the rise, as they look to reach a bowl game for the 2nd consecutive season. Head Coach June Jones has done an amazing job with this program, taking this team to a bowl game last year for the first time since 1984. The Mustangs were a surprising 8-5 last year, including 6-2 in league play. Coach Jones has stated that he expects a similar year this year, and he’s looking for QB Kyle Padron to lead the way. Padron really came on strong last year, culminating in an MVP performance at the Hawaii Bowl. Padron was able to put up big numbers in the June Jones offense, but most importantly he led them to a 5-1 SU record. The Mustangs have lost all world WR Emmanuel Sanders and RB Shawnbrey McNeal, so they have to break in some new skill position talent. This Mustangs 3-4 defense is improving every year, becoming more and more aggresive. For SMU to continue their rise to national prominence, this defensive unit must continue to improve.

The Mustangs are 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 games against the Big 12. The Under is 4-1-1 in the Mustangs last 6 road games.

Pregame.com projects the final score to be 31-27 in favor of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The SMU Mustangs +13.5 is the Side of the Day!

Oregon State Beavers Football: Little Line Shift Despite Heavy Action

With all the love going towards the Oregon State Beavers football side in their game against the TCU Horned Frogs Saturday night, it is indeed interesting that the oddsmakers haven’t tried to get more betting action coming TCU’s way. This is your Gambling911.com Betting Edge.

Oklahoma State is a rare underdog getting the most action in a particular College Football game. They were listed at +13 at Bookmaker.com as of Saturday evening (7:45 pm EST). The amount of action going towards the Beavers, however, was close to 70 percent. One has to wonder why the online sportsbooks like Bookmaker.com wouldn’t try to encourage a little more action to come TCU’s way. Could they be anticipating a blowout greater than say 13 ½ points?

Here is something interesting to consider: We know by the time frame when Bookmaker.com had the line over 14 points (August 3 from 7:35 pm to 7:45 pm) they managed to get some heavy action from “sharps”. This we can surmise since the line quickly moved back to 14 points. It wouldn’t surprise us here at Gambling911.com to see the Oregon Beavers football squad lose by 14 points here (or two touchdowns).

There are no significant recent betting trends involving either of these two teams to discuss here.

Should Oregon State cover here, Bookmaker.com will find itself on the losing end of this game.

A similar outcome was still in the Cards (so to speak) with bookies wanting Louisville to cover a +3 spread against Kentucky Saturday afternoon. The game was in its third quarter at press time. The suspension of several North Carolina Tar Heels players continues to cause wild fluctuations in the North Carolina vs. LSU College Football game scheduled for Saturday evening. As of 3 pm EST, Gambling911.com reported that the Tar Heels football line had moved all the way to +10 at betED.com. This is after opening at -1.

North Carolina Tar Heels football is in absolute turmoil coming into Week 1 of the 2010 regular season.

An ongoing investigation into whether Marvin Austin and wide receiver Greg Little received improper benefits from agents resulted in an announcement last week that academic violations may have been uncovered involving a former undergraduate tutor and multiple student-athletes on the team.

The tutor in question is a former academic coach and advisor for Coach Butch Davis’ son.

The fallout: Thirteen players remain ineligible to play with one more suspended indefinitely.

Tar Heels football players who did not travel with the team include: Defensive tackle Marvin Austin, cornerback Charles Brown, cornerback Kendric Burney, wide receiver Greg Little, defensive end Michael McAdoo, defensive end Robert Quinn, tailbacks Shaun Draughn and Ryan Houston, defensive end Linwan Euwell, and safeties Brian Gupton, Da’Norris Searcy, and Jonathan Smith.

Their season has no doubt been compromised….but gamblers are certainly licking their respective chopscoming into this one.

“It’s like taking candy from a baby,” Shapiro suggests in regard to betting on LSU.

This is believed to be one of the biggest line moves ever seen in College Football.

Odds to Win The 2010 Super Bowl – Week 1 NFL Edition

Odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl as we are coming into Week 1 had a bunch of teams vying as long favorites. By that we mean, NFL teams will pay a minimum of $800 on a $100 bet should they win the 2010 Super Bowl.

The Indianapolis Colts were technically the favorites at +800 or 8/1 coming into Week 1 of the new season at SBG Global. Other single digit favorites included the Dallas Cowboys at +900 and New Orleans Saints, also at +900.

Arizona comes in with 55/1 odds of winning the 2010 Super Bowl.

Carolina is a bit of a surprise at 75/1 odds.

Cleveland pays 95/1.

Detroit and Jacksonville both pay out 100/1 odds.

Kansas pays 90/1.

Oakland pays 75/1.

Seattle pays 85/1.

Forget the St. Louis Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They each pay 125/1 or $12500 for every $100 bet should they win the 2011 Super Bowl.

We only saw a move off the -3 Friday and, strangely enough, it was enticing even further action on Kentucky.

A recent meeting in this series had Kentucky winning by just 4 points. Prior to 2006, Louisville had dominated in this series.

Louisville offensive coordinator Mike Sanford told the Louisville Courier that the days of anemic production are gone, keeping in mind that last season’s 18.1 points per game ranked dead last in the Big East.

“I’m not going to say how many points we’re going to score, but I expect to score more, when you talk about the whole year, than this team scored last year,” Sanford said. “And I expect us to be an attacking, explosive offense.”

Why The Michigan Wolverines Will Be Upset By Connecticut

An afternoon game between the Michigan Wolverines and Connecticut Huskies has “Upset” written all over it even though Michigan is a mere -3 point favorite.

Nevertheless, for online sportsbooks, a Connecticut win (or cover) would provide the upset. Michigan is the 3rd biggest bet of the afternoon following LSU and Florida (2nd only after LSU at some Internet books).

What makes the move to a 3-3-5 defense a pain in the rear end for the Wolverines is that it’s an unorthodox scheme. Though they have the talent along the defensive line and at linebacker to make the system work, it takes time for the adjustments to fully take affect.

Furious adds that the Wolverines finished last season with an 0-5 SU and ATS record while the Huskies went on a 4-1 SU rip to finish theirs.

The Detroit Free Press should be “up” on Michigan, we would think.

They point to what the BetUS.com analyst has brought up: That the Wolverines enter this season with a lot of “unknowns”.

2010 Week 1 College Football Predictions

Gambling911.com released a series of 2010 Week 1 College Football predictions for Saturday.

With the Purdue vs. Notre Dame game, our friends at Pregame.com provided us with a free pick on the Fighting Irish. Their final score prediction: 38-17 with Notre Dame the -11 point favorite at BetUS.com.

Johnny Detroit of Pregame.com tells Gambling911.com:

Notre Dame made major news this past offseason, as they hired new Head Coach Brian Kelly. Kelly is expected to take Notre Dame all the way to the top, much like he did for the Cincinnati program. Since Kelly’s arrival, he has changed the Notre Dame offense to a quick strike spread offense, while the defense has gone from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense. A few different QB’s are likely to see playing time for the Fighting Irish, and they will all be looking for WR Michael Floyd. Floyd averaged 113 YPG last year, and finished the season with 9 TD’s. Defensive Coordinator Bob Diaco has switched to a 3-4 defense because he’s committed to stopping the run. Too many times last year Notre Dame were outclassed on the ground, as they gave up numerous big runs last year. Coach Kelly is likely to have his players motivated right out of the gate, as they have Michigan in their next game. The season starts off rather tough, especially considering the weighty expectations placed on the Fighting Irish with the hiring of Coach Kelly.

He also offers some insight into the Oregon State vs. TCU game with a predicted outcome of 24-17 in favor of the Horned Frogs, which won’t cover the -11 ½ point spread.

TCU has national title aspirations, as they field one of the most complete, balanced teams in the country. The Horned Frogs start the season ranked 6th in the nation. Last year TCU started the season ranked 16th and started the year 12-0 before losing their final game of the season. That loss to Boise St. in the Fiesta Bowl has stuck with this TCU team all offseason, so they enter this season very hungry.

His 2010 Week 1 College Football predictions include the UNDER 50 ½ points in this game.

Meanwhile, football prognosticators over at BetUS.com are calling for an upset by Connecticut over Michigan on Saturday.
